    74 Carrera spruce up

I had the fan and shroud sent to Mark Motshagen in the USA for restoration and Mike at Spyder and I re fitted this morning

All went well until backing out to begin the journey home from Warragul and noticed a pool of fluid on the ground

Turned out a newish looking fuel line had had enough and was leaking everywhere....fire luckily avoided.

Just need coil bracket sticker and fan strap sticker and a dob of yellow/gold paint.

    Old and nearly finished new

    Looks brilliant Clyde!

Did Mike have some spare fuel hose to get you going?

I have a spare coil bracket sticker if you want it?

    Cheers,

    Harry.

Looking good. Glad to see you still have the odd toy or two to play with in your spare time. How's the golf handicap going.

Clyde, fan looks beautiful, do you know what the longevity of the finish is?

                  No not really.

I could make it really look like factory and cover it with cosmoline I suspect the edges of the fan will show the grit wear first and that will depend on how much driving is done and in what conditions.

No worries. My '76 still has its five blade fan, so I was planning on getting an eleven blade sent straight to Mark for the coating to keep it looking tidy. Not sure whether it's worth doing on a new fan though ...

Car got its name back today thanks to Billy Jacobson ( Mike and Lisa's youngest) who is perfecting the Carrera script and others for our cars

My car was the first to get a Carrera script I think its looks excellent

Sweet! Makes me want to put the flat lid on mine for a while....is the front lip staying Clyde? If not, can I have first option?

Going Mark, make me an offer, as you know it shouldn't have the lip without the rear spoiler.

David is working on a correct engine lid I purchased that had a little rust in it so soon that issue will be resolved too.

Gee it drives nice now with correct size tyres and an MFI that actually works.

Decals look great. Clyde, did you go gloss or matte? (they look matte in the pics). Tyres set it off well also...

I went matte as I will have to remove them anyway when I paint back to gemini, I think they should have been gloss to match factory but happy
for someone to confirm for me
