    IB front bumper

Does anyone know if early IB cars came without a front rubber lip? My 74 has no holes in the front valance to mount the lip so I'm guessing it never had one???

(the lip in pic is off another car)

    Definitely no lip.
Might be a market for it on the forum as Clyde offered one up recently.

Thanks, happy with that, I like the lipless look.

Did the lips come as a package with a tail?

As I understand it you must have the front lip if you have a tail, but you can have the front lip without the tail.

Yes Doug I have heard that too, from someone with personal experience at high speed with tail only!

Thanks everyone. Personally I much prefer no tail, no lip. Even the cookie cutters are growing on me. And I actually enjoy the Sporto. Might get me a pair of lime green flared pants.

You need to ditch that silly manual '70S and replace it with a fully restored matching numbers slate grey SWB sporto Mitchell ....
