    901 Watches??

Randomly came across these while searching for starter motor wiring of all things.

'A collection made from salvaged Porsche 911's' ?? Not sure what bits have apparently been 'recycled', but they reckon the VIN of the car they were 'salvaged' from is stamped on the side. Hmmm....

I don't hate the watch but find the recycled claim stretches the facts somewhat.

...and for that sort of money, you could source a decent Porsche Design Orfina from the '70s and have some street cred.

Very little (nothing?) about those watches says 'Early 911' to me...

I also thought the idea of a 901 watch would be nice, even subscribed to their site, but I don't think they are anything special so lost interest fairly quickly. Always lusted after a tagheuer but so far out of my range I bought a Citizen Eco Drive Blue Angels (US Navy Pilot Trainer's) watch, which is quite high tech enough for analogue me.

Early 90's Porsche design IWC's are more the ticket- can be had on the secondhand market for not crazy money...
