I tried to buy a W1 but was a bit late to the party most of them sold for $200k upwards even though list price was $170k
Now all of those (150 units) will be cellared for sure
But each to their own.

I like it so much I bought another one to drive regularly.
It hadn't been all that loved but only 13,500km and Dave B worked his magic on the paint and I did the rest with the fine cleaning and I have a near new car again.
Once again got rid of all the garish yellow badges and the oversized bonnet badge and replaced the rear holden badge with a black one but didn't mind the yellow calipers with the blue. 2017-09-18 21.46.32.jpgClyde Boyer

Yes I was the under bidder sadly $250k was my limit but I really wanted a red one!!!
Actually sold for $251k as Lloyds were foregoing their buyers commission to get to the reserve of $250k or so the sales guy told me when he encouraged me to up my bid to $250k which we agreed was an all in price no more for me to pay.
Most of the cars were sold be dealers in the $200 to $220k range with quite a few sold to the likes of Dutton etc who have then pushed their ask up to $270k odd
With no race history like old Holdens and Fords the car may struggle to hold their current escalation although it is the last home grown version.
Time will tell.Clyde Boyer

They are paying $700k plus for GTHO Phase 3 Fords that don't stop, don't steer and in todays terms don't really go either.
The W1 is the equal, in my opinion of any BMW or Mercedes hot rod and we all know they cost that or more and depreciate faster than a rabbit up a burrow.
Perhaps I should just tear up some money and buy a boatClyde Boyer
