    F-Truck

Was in Melbourne on Friday and saw this down in Tassie for sale and couldn't resist ...
    Landed in Launceston 5pm.
    Bought it 530pm
Drove it 100k's to the ferry and loaded up 630pm
630am next day drove it straight to Sydney and it barely skipped a beat ...

    Wow - 100 profile tyres!
Cool car Ben. I hope you're parking skills are up to speed - that thing will be interesting to street park in the inner city.

That's why I bought it - sick of having my cars scratched and dinted.

Tangerine, Aussie delivered right hand drive and matching numbers .... all for under $6k!!

Tuff truck Ben and it is the older series. Owned 2 F trucks and 2 Broncos. You will find other drivers get out of your way. Full points and if it's on gas they're pretty cheap to run.

No gas I'm afraid Neville ... I think I used about 250 litres of fuel between Launceston and Sydney ...

Nope, but really, really tempted to put a gun rack in the back window ....

Ha! Nice one, Ben... won't be many car spots in Paddington big enough for that beast!

With those tyres, I'm not even gonna ask if it has power steering....
Mine's a bit older, but the concept is the same - big car, not concerned about parking it at the supermarket. I did however remove the gun rack...

                            Cam that's an absolute beauty!

And no power steering ... those muddies scream on the highway and have no grip in the wet - literally none.

Have bought a set of the old "Hurricane" mags and will chuck some smaller 60 series road tires on it - should quieten it down and keep it on the road.

For something totally different - what about a 1973 Toyota Hilux - out of a shed after 5 years - started up on second crank. Just needs a full restoration now.
