      This is one of my favorite 2 seater race cars.
      While Jack was known mainly for his single seaters,he did produce a small number of sport racers - the BT5,8 and 17.
      Powered by Climax 4s of 2,2.5 and 2.7 litres and reputedly a 2.1 BRM V8, the BT8 was a step above the similar looking Lotus 23.
      I sat in one at the '98 Laguna Seca (Pre)Historics and spoke to one of the minders who said that the regular driver could give the much bigger CanAm V8s a big fright at tighter circuits !
      Similar to 908/3s I suppose !
      BT8 drivers of note have included Denis Hulme and Peter Revson.
