Just had our "modern" vehicle re-sprayed.
It's a series 80 diesel purchased in 1992 and has just clocked up 300,000km, It's travelled over most of Australia - excluding NT - and is our everyday transport. The body was starting to look a little weary with dulled paintwork and numerous dints and scratches picked up over the years.
So rather than fork out for a replacement vehicle we decided to give it a facelift - a little reward for so many years of valuable and ever reliable service.
This included, removal of all glass and body bits, repair some rust under rubbers around rear windows, new windscreen, repair damaged rear quarter bumper and paint with 2 pack baked enamel.
I replaced the very heavy steel 'bull bar' with the standard front bumper to reduce weight and give a 'cleaner' look
A superb job by a local guy...............
.........................................Total cost $3200 (and it's thrice as big as a Porsche!)
