My partner Kerrie is a keen GA pilot and got her love of flying from a childhood spent watching her dad fly his model planes.
When Alan passed away the dozens and dozens of model planes were left under the house until the Kerrie and her sister felt able to deal with sorting through the collection.
Many of the models have gone to Alan's flying friends and some to the family, all are in a pretty poor state, but a bit of elbow grease and degreaser and couple of them are now back in the air, albeit in the garage...
