The beauty of the Stig is that it could be anybody, and the driver probably changes frequently depending on who's available and what cars they are testing.

Don't know if anyone else remembers but a few years ago Damon Hill was touted as been the Stig, he was supposed to be a guest on the show that week but didn't make it, so they got Mark Webber in at virtually no notice and presented him with a "I Am The STIG" t-shirt. Presumably Williams F1 HQ is not far from the studios?
