I just read an obituary on Frank in our local paper. He passed away on Aug 29 due to health complications from inhaling too much carbon monoxide. He was 77.

Very sad.... he drove 917's with David Piper back in 1969 and had some pithy comments about them.
My late father was mighty impressed with him... they'd met in Europe somewhere and Frank Gardner remembered him a few years later.Justin Reed
