Gents,

This from a friend who did the Sprint Bathurst event over the weekend… and for your viewing pleasure.

I've spoken with a few people who have done this (some in 901's) and they absolutely rave about it.

I did the Drive Bathurst event last year in the SC and had a fantastic time. I managed 260km of track time over 2 days, only downside was the cost - nearly $4k.

I managed to annoy the hell out of the CUB's in the HSV's and XR8's, they couldn't keep up with me across the top of the mountain to Forest Elbow, they'd get past on Conrod and I'd catch them again at the chase, really good fun.

Some scary moments especially when they tell you Kangaroos at turn 2 & your approaching over 180km/h! First time over the top with eyes as wide as dinner plates and down through the esses - just magic as the rear squats down and holds on then over the crest on conrod as the front goes light at 220. Can't wait to go back, hopefully be allowed a leave pass for 6 hour next easter.
