    Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Well not quite won but I just thought I'd share that I have been entrusted with an Elfin MS8 and a 996 GT3 RS for the next couple of months.......

Don't think the wife will be getting much quality time in the near future

Yes and yes Rich - I have been instructed to make good use of them which I fully intend to do.

No Clyde she's not a noted driver on the insurance policies!

What a pity there are no corners up there and you don't have unlimited speeds anymore. Might actually be a bit boring so I'm not really jealous.

Could take or leave the Elfin ( I assume its a new one?)

But the GT3RS is mind blurring.. and the one I drove was only at 7/10's.

Justin did you find it really 'graunchy' in 1st ? reverse? I can't believe how clunky & noisy the LSD is. The thing only has about 8K on the clock so I'm sure there's nothing abnormal going on.

The old adage of 'its more fun to drive a slow car fast than drive a fast car slow' rings true for this thing. I think my licence would be at risk if I owned it. Never out of second around town.

Love to take it to the track though

Not graunchy, but heavy, you had to be fairly forceful with it. It wasn't fluid like my old 901 box.

Yes - quite noisy, they do not have a dual mass flywheel, so are noisy, and dare I say it a bit rattley. But you forget all of this when you stand on it, and the engine spins past 7K in a heartbeat.

The car I drove is in Christophorus, in the story about the PCNSW concours. A lovely car, that was later doing low 30's around Bathurst at Easter.
