    Show your Non-Porsche Ride!

Okay some of you know that we have recently acquired a Shelby Mustang GT350. It is all original 43,000 miles and just beautiful. I know it is not a Porsche, however I am a sucker for a great car no matter what make... this is just 'special'!
    Enjoy the pics!

Couldn't help but notice the marvellous paint job on the garage floor.
Can you post some details on preparation required, type of paving paint, durablity, ease to clean, colour choices and cost per square metre.
Oh - the car looked OK too!!

.......and also, how does it handle oil stains as I notice you have a D-Type Jag parked next to the blue car?

Not sure who did the floor for dad, but know that it took them two cracks to get it right.
The red is good for oil and tyre marks. It is easy to mop up oil stains with some spray on degreaser.
It also is grainy, so it means you don't slip on it - within reason!
            Will find out from Stewart.
The car, it handles really well actually for the whole 20 kms I have driven it. The front end was completely different for the Shelby's and as a result is far more direct. However it will take some serious seat time to be able to have the confidence and the experience to drive this baby hard!
We won't be registering it so as for everyday excursion that won't be possible - darn it.
For those that have imported car, our car left NZ last Friday week, it arrived in Australia last Wed night on the ship, they had the container by Friday at the unloading company. We were there at 6:30am in the morning for the unpack and quaratine, and had the car on the road by 8:00. That is the way to ship!!!

Alex, what a true muscle car these were. They really were an icon of the era. Did you see the red supercharged one at Phillip Island in the Shannons tent near Bob Jane? Here is a pic.

It's a little 'under the weather' right now ... but it will be back on the road soon.... 8)

I'm the 3rd owner of this '67 Malibu sport coupe...
Did the suspension and brake upgrade first, then a complete engine rebuild, trans replacement and rear end changeover.... Now the original 275HP 327 puts out an honest 397HP on the engine dyno....

Body, paint, and interior will come next.... some day...

                  Cheers,

alex - i've often thought of adding an aussie muscle car to the fleet. i have a soft spot for these... maybe it could double as a tow car?

Alex, exactly how wide are those rear tyres???

If you stuck some ballast in the tray you could put it to work as a steamroller!
