    US shipping options

    Hi Guys

Shipping out of the US seems to be getting out of hand. I'm looking at shipping 4 wheels either in 1 box or preferably 2 boxes. Anyone have any suggestions as USPS seem very expensive. Fedex?

    Any other ideas?

Or is anyone bringing a container or car out in the foreseeable future and have some spare space?

Contact Jason at real Steel Restorations in Canberra. I believe they are about to bring a container in. (02) 6239 1129

If you can Jeff, see if you can have an invoice attached that has a 'reasonable cost' on there or you'll get slugged with a huge import duty. Not that I'm suggesting for a moment that you should avoid paying tax....! Tom

        Thanks Tom

I'm fairly sure that "cleaned second hand parts" under $1000 won't attract any duty.

        Hasn't in the past.

Cool, I hope you have better luck than me.
I got pinged for having about $1000 worth of Pelican Parts - I think it was almost $500 the b@stards stole from me - made my big buy up while the oz dollar was high rather expensive.
Silly thing was that PP contacted me with an option to send half the order as there was a delay on some parts - stupid me said no, send it all together so I save on the freight......!

USPS is normally cheaper than Fedex or UPS. I had one sent USPS and I thought it cats about $100 for a 7" ??

Thanks guys, the quote from USPS is $675 for 1 box with 4x15"x6" wheels or $800 for 2 boxes but surely there has to be a better way.

That sounds expensive Jeff, I've recently been quoted 710USD to float a pallet over totalling approx 200kg
