Porshe Barn Find

Made in Adelaide in the late 1970s the Porshe brand was missing the C in an attempt to trade on the brand. They were quickly shut down and went on to become Ricardo cycles which again didn't last long as a company.
I found this in Melbourne and I think its neat and collectible?

Ha! Looks exactly the same as a Malvern Star dragstar, so it seems the badge wasn't the only thing they copied!

My dragstar had the removeable center bar (for chics) plus rear sissy bar with springs! (for hard core enthusiasts).And plastic ribbon things out of the handle grips...Plus twin head light /speedo & tailight. With cardboard peg flapper things on my spokes!

I think it largely complies with club rules. Namely, it is air cooled, retro colour, sportomatic, vinyl seating, no power steering or power anything, and has the 901 characteristic spots of surface rust here and there. You should make it your ride on the next club run. You'll still probably overtake me.
