Car Transport - Geelong to Melbourne

    Hi Guys

Need to move 3 old cars from Geelong to Melbourne... All on the same day.

The cars are rolling only (ie non-drivable).

Weight of 2 of the cars is approx 2 tonnes each. The third is about 4 tonnes.

Any ideas on who could do it? Obviously need someone sympathetic to old cars and patient...

Thoughts would be very gratefully received!!!!

    Cheers

He gave you a hint that they are 'rollers'.

          Is that right, Rich ?

Ferret scout car, now you're talking. Pre select gearbox and rolls royce engine I think. Definitely a car park hero. Although a Saracen would upstage it.

                Cheers

I have a stack of IH scouts but the ferret would have their measure. Pictures?

BTW, didn't have time to do oil/fuel/battery to get it running... so had to 'park' it with blocks and levers - hard work with a 4.5 tonne lump!

cars finally all moved to their new home...

Ian did a fantastic job of moving all the cars without a problem (including on Saturday in 42 degrees)... wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!!

just to show a little bit of progress...

car's back on it's wheels and we're hoping to get the body on (very carefully!) tomorrow.

Car was last registered in 1957... so has been in pieces for a very very long time!!
