driving holiday in europe- would you take a dash cam ?
any recommendations for a particular unit ?

Garmin Virb... easily as a good a picture as a GoPro, water proof without being in a separate shell, and has full pizo and GPS functions. So a part from watching the drive, it'll map the route and map your G-forces

No, I wouldn't take one but if I did I would try the Polaroid Cube, it's tiny.

I've been using GoPro's for years, and the operation of them is not at all intuitive.
