        I understand totally. If you have both now then keep the 901 and even if it takes 10 years to get the 55 on the road you will at least have both to play with.
        Unless you don't like hammering through sweeping mountain roads that is.

            I love semaphore bugs, but I love semaphore buses even more! Very cool in the best possible 'bit of more than you can chew but chew hard' kind of way! I am sure there are plenty worse being restored and they are not making anymore...
            Keen to watch the progress and fingers crossed you get to keep both cars. Would make a garage to be proud of.

              Great project !! My Father in law lives in Brazil where he has a small manufacturing business. He has 6 kombi's that he uses for deliveries....despite numerous attempts he refuses to believe that any VW bus is worth more than $5,000 !! Ha ha....

                  Nice one Luke. I have very fond memories of fitting a turbo 1800 twin port to my mate's '69 Kombi many years ago... Not quite 911 handling- but almost as exhilarating!
