    My 968

    Hi All,

A couple of months ago I purchased a 968 from another Registry member (thanks Chris) and since I bought it and drove it home to Melbourne from Adelaide it has been sitting at my a mechanics workshops waiting for parts (parts supply is not as good as early 911s) for its roadworthy.

Well, today was a good day as it is now registered in Victoria and, as a result of the work done, drives beautifully,

Since I purchased the car I've made a number of "improvements" that I will try to list below (the memory is not that good).

    1. New Bridgstone S001 tyres
    2. New Bluetooth radio with DAB+
    3. New inner door seals
    4. New outer door seals
    5. New kick plates
    6. New clock (original hands were faded and the glass was cracked)
    7. New hatch seal
    8. New front seat adjustment switches
    9. New radiator (old one was leaking)
    10. New radiator hoses (old ones were past their best)
    11. 4 new Koni Sport shocks, bumps stops and covers
    12. 2 new engines mounts (old ones had collapsed and were leaking oil)
    13. New clutch master cylinder (clutch pedal kept getting stuck fully depressed)
    14. New door stays (old ones were stuffed)
    15. New dash lights
    16. New belts for the steering pump
    17. New K&N air filter
    18. RS Barn chip
    19. I bought a new exhaust but it didn't fit (bugger)
    20. A visit from Mr Tap Tap to remove all of the small dings
    21. New door handle seals
    22. New hatch lock rubbers
    23. Alignment from the one and only Mr Carl Jones

Anyway, I think that is it but I'm sure I've forgotten something.

Still want to make a few more improvements but they can wait.

I'll try and get some pics of the car of the weekend.

    Cheers,

    Harry.

Good one Harry. I too have a strange love for these cars, still don't know why. More photos please!

Nice Harry. Saw a nice Vic reg 968 cab today black on black GG 968
I am sure I will start to see more now I know you have one. Looks a big shopping list but sounds like a solid well cared for unit as they all seem like housekeeping items. Enjoy your new daily drive.

Very nice Harry. The 944's, 928's and 968's will be very sought after in the near future, I believe.

              Hi All,

I can see why they are tipped to become more in demand in the coming years, they are great to drive and seem to be reasonably bullet proof.

If I decide to sell at some point she is all yours Cam

Oh, and I did forget a couple of things:

              1. New centre arm rest
              2. New genuine Porsche floor mats

I'd like to replace the carpet in the boot as well, if anyone know where I can buy the carpet I'd love to know as I can't find it anywhere.

              Cheers,

              Harry.

Either his car is a lot bigger than it looks or that's the size of toy my 2 yr old plays with!!
