    Touareg Tyres

    Hi folks,

Looking for recommendations on tyres for the Touareg (275/45R20).

It appears that we have managed to burn through the set that came with the car (Pirelli Scorpion Verde) in 26,000km. Ouch.

Any experience with the Pirelli Scorpion Zero (currently nearly half price on tyresales.com.au at $366 a corner, fitted)?

Any other recommendations/advice? (Smart arse comments about driving style welcomed).

    Thanks

Dirk, I love Pirelli's for there grip, but the soft compound means they don't last long.

Having been plagued by 3 flats with the originals in 6 months (Goodyear Eagles) and replacing one at a cost of $529 I fitted a set of Cooper Zeon LTZ which are a more aggressive looking tyre but surprisingly quiet and great grip on both gravel and bitumen. Cost $380/tyre fitted and balanced.
They've now done 28,000km and I expect at least 60k.
