$35.00 per ticket. They're dreaming ! Its cheaper to visit Technoclassica Essen for the day and a lot more cars and stuff to see. I would be pretty pissed as an exhibitor paying top $$$ for a stand and hoping the get in customers to see my products. Promotors getting too greedy these days.

Not cheaper to visit Essen if you factor in the Airfare, Accomodation & such, Phil! I would have thought $35 is reasonable value for a local event, considering it costs about the same to get a reserved seat at the footy (home/away) and more to go to the Melbourne Cup as a general admission ticket...Mark Munro

Attended the auction and caught up with Gus. No good news to report although I believe that the auction presentation and format is less than desirable.( No real info or test reports on any of the vehicles?) Out of 39 cars auctioned only about 8 seemed to get sold under auction conditions. A lot of bids seemed to be plucked from non existent buyers. There were also several withdrawals before the commencement. On the Porsche front only lot 40 sold a 1975 911 Carrera RSR replica at $75k which was just under the $80 to $100K estimate. A 1993 968 passed in at $34K the nice 1965 911 estimate $380 to $450K passed in at $200k and a 1976 Carrera 3 litre failed to make the $90 to $120k estimate. The sales were all sub $100k.
