    Identies and member preferences poll

I thought since the forum is just starting we should find out what people agree in regards to identities on the forum. Many people's "handle" is not their real name but either a model or brand or whatever. Given that many people like to know who they are communicating with, what do people think about asking everyone to have their real names in their signatures?

I say, let the mob rule and decide.

That said, my preference is for real name in the signature - which most people have already done

Hey Justin, just voted and checked the pole. The decision is unanimous. 100% agreed. Decision made, that was easy done.

I think it is good to have at least the first name in the signature block.

This debate is also going on in the earlyS site and I think the majority over there are also saying that "handles" are OK for identifiers so long as a real first name is used in the signature block but a full name is only necessary if the person wants to post it

I agree we should try to get these conversations right from the start of a board - and lean what we can (good and bad0 from other forums

Voted, names are important - check the thread on the Early S board about this...I want to know when I'm talking to 'tight shorts' who the hell they really are  .

        Cheers,

Well. It looks like the name in signatures is the view of the "informed" mob
At least at this stage. We obviously need a bunch more members to vote

Having the first name in the sig should be enough for the forums. I look forward to meeting people in real-life anyway, so you'll know who I am in due course.
