Great Day all round yesterday! Wished more of you would have made the effort to come, as I think that you would have enjoyed the perfect weather, great track and quick times!
Marcus has set a new PB of 2.00!
At the start of the day I jumped in with him to help with some of his lines, and then he followed me for first 2 sessions - great footage to follow.
Then I let him past and he did a 2.00.6, which was almost a full 4 seconds quicker that he could previously achieve! Well done mate.
I also had a bit of extra improvement left after the historics, and managed to get my little 2.0 down to 2.01.41 so I am stoked as well.
Video should be up soon, most of it with great footage of Marcus following me, and me following Marcus, great to watch our little cars fly!
Next event is at Attwood in Early May, with some of you having been there before, you may want to come to a low-speed motorkhana type event?
Still buzzing of having my car in a full drift at 100-110mph!! Love it!Alex Webster

Mate I was stoked and yet gutted at the same time! I wrung the neck of the 2.0, but with some suspension mods, I think it is capable of a sub 2.00. If I can do that, I will be stoked, as it will show that you don't need litreage to be fast!
That said, if Marcus cleans up some of his lines and gets some more committment onto the main straight he too will be under 2.00 so then it is history repeating! Good news for the 6 hour though!Alex Webster

Philip Island
I've been trying to keep up with you guys club events... and your annual Historics.
I also have seen a Moto GP and some Supercar V8 races on Speedvision from this venue....
I have got to say that Philip Island (Sorry, for some reason I keep wanting to call it Philip's Island) has got to be one of most beautiful, challenging, and fast race tracks on the planet...... Those that are close to this facility are truly lucky.
Some day I'll see it in person......
Cheers mates,Chuck Miller

Cheers mates,
start planning for 2008 historics at the island
it will be on within a week of the GP ie early march (so all the US and eurpoean cars can make the trip and do a few events over a couple of weeks)
you can roll a bunch of events into one or two weeks - and maybe a road trip to sydney via the snowy mountains in between
you would have to go back home for a rest! - especially if the Websters loan you a car for the trackHugh Hodges

Chuck,
Kent and I were discussing a US tour to OZ...
You guys probably drive further for an event than the flight from LA to Sydney...!
We'd love to host a few of you downunder... Kent was well looked after and we kept him well occupied in Melbourne and Sydney
Cmon you know you want to!Justin Reed

Yes they do....I'll advise some dates.
There were a few early running at Oran park last weekend. Think I'll take the Drift 911L out and trundle around in Class E at least once this year.Justin Reed
