Victorian members drive Sunday July 30th

Enough is enough winter or not I am going driving on Sunday the 30th in and around the Lancefield, Heathcote, Kyneton area leaving from the viewing area for aeroplanes on the Sunbury Bulla Road at 8am, back in town no later than 2pm but earlier departures will be possible given the likely route.

If you want in let me know here, please don't post your grandma is sick and you can't make it, acceptance posts only please.

I drove the run yesterday to check out road conditions and in parts it's best to say they are fair at best, but still driveable without drama, no craters and only one of those petrol tank killer mid road uprisings!

Found an awesome "resting place" in Heathcote where we can chill for 45 mins or so mid run.

I was back home in Frankston at 1.30pm

Looks like only 5 cars so far, pretty disappointing number, but the 5 of us will have a ball.

Hi Sean

Original scope was an engine rebuild, rust repairs to front pan, suspension refresh, wiring clean up, new AC unit.

Kane blasted it and now have more rust repairs, and we are painting the engine bay etc before reassembly.

Engine in better condition than I hoped and so is the rust - so far am happy … though time will tell!

I’ll bring my son, Charlie. He was 14 when he went on the first run. Feels like a long time ago.

I might have to hang back 500m’s - nothing old and fancy to wrestle through the hills these days.
