Buxton Run - Sunday 1st February

As previously posted, the few of us who met for souvlakis prior to Xmas decided unanimously that we should have a run early in the New Year.
So I have planned a run for Sunday 1st February.

    The route is basically as follows (running sheets and maps will be emailed prior to the event and hard copies will be available on the day);

The first half will be the same as our previous "Reefton Run" on 10/2/07.
Departing 8:30 sharp from Nunawading Maccas on the corner of Springvale and Whitehorse Roads - Kangaroo Ground - St Andrews - Kinglake - Healesville (via some great roads) - "Beechworth Bakery" for morning tea.
Then route changes ; Healesville - Woori Yallock - Warburton - Reefton Spur (in opposite direction) - Lake Mountain hillclimb - Marysville - Buxton Roadhouse for lunch (hamburgers).
Then back home via Black Spur.

Could I please have a show of hands for those who can come.
Clyde/Rich - can you please arrange necessary CAMS approval.

............and just cross fingers that the weather gods are kind to us.

PS. The Lake Mountain Classic tarmac hillclimb is the previous weekend - Australia Day weekend, so we should see plenty of rubber on the road..........and probably some heading over the edge.

      peter,

sounds like a hoot... except i am taking claire away for her birthday that weekend (and no, it's lorne, so no where near buxton to do a little 'diversion' on the way home).

      cheers

              Thanks Clyde.

Clyde, can you also send a group email ASAP to all members advising of the run so that those who don't visit this web site can make plans to attend - members such as Bruce Young who has often "complained" that our Melb runs are becoming far too infrequent.
We'll send out more details and running sheets a week or so before the run

              Thanks

                  It's in the diary.

Shall I pack snow chains just in case?

I'll be there - at the back of the pack.

Looking at last years photos, a yellow long hood was needed anyway!
