911E Registry Tour de Colorado , USA July 14-16, 2006

    ok....its a longshot & a bit of a drive  , but if any of you typ901'ers
are planning on being in the states this "winter", consider a trip out
to Colorado. Should be a good turnout of enthusiasts !

    Chris,

I have been following this - look great! Congrats to the E Registry on launching their first "big event" - I am sure it's going to be a success !

    Cheers,

      Yes Chris

I have been following it as well.
It sounds like a fantastic event is being planned. I have only ever been thru some of those roads once (and that was back when our cars were new ops: ) But I do remember that the roads and scenery is absolutely mind-blowing

Good luck with the event I wish I could be there but sadly it does not look likely

It is great to see the E registry organising an event AND doing it somewhere else than the left coast

        Hi Chris,

yes i have driven some of those great mountain roads on one of my many visits to Colorado (do business with a manufacturer in Centennial). Who knows, I may need to make a factory visit around that time and could join in the fun.

Eric Harvey will be driving down from Denver, more than likely in a
caravan of early cars. I'm sure you could ride along with someone.
Let me know if you can make it, I'll set you up with a ride.
Should be a good turn-out of cars...one gentleman said he would
drive his 73 RS & I'm trying to talk Jeff Smith into bringing his mint
73E. Sounds like we may need to come up with a long-distance award !

Just checking in to see who is coming over for the TDC this weekend :p

Someday I'll return the favor & make a Typ901 event.

A pics of the green machine atop Red Mountain Pass & Molas Pass.
On Saturday's drive we will traverse 5 high altitude mtn passes !
