congrats to tiger for an excellent wheel-to-wheel racing debut.

lots of fun was had by all - except for one suicidal duck...

Thanks Mr C. A great day. Very sporting gentlemen and I still have clean undies. It leaves sprints for dead, add a car in front and one chasing youre you, and it's just too much fun. I must learn how to shut the gate though, pesky MX5's and MG's !

The vegetarian got his fair share of ensuing bad humour:

            1. Duck !
            2. F*** a Duck !
            3. Well Duck me !
            4. When racing get all your ducks in a row.

            etc etc etc

            One less ugly light !

John, Mr C may have some videos tonight.

As for stills, we'll have to rely on John or Justin to pop out today. Tickets at the gate boys !

Well done for the weekend Andrew. Kept it on the black stuff and did some great times. Beware it's addictive!!

Thanks Tim. RC held my hand like a gentleman that he is.

Also did a wet last race. So a weekend of firsts. Very very wet and skatie. Very, very gently......

John S took a couple of nice snaps. RC will have some very interesting footage.

the last race was just nuts. people spinning everywhere - including whilst still on the warm up lap!

Here is my video of the last race (its split into 2 parts due to the length).

                    part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n09Sm...e=channel_page

                    part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2qFd...e=channel_page

as you will see i had some serious traction issues pretty much everywhere on the track - including the main straight!

i was running kuhmo tarmac rally tyres that have done classic adelaide and about 4 other track events (including driving to and fro). they have been brave little soldiers and were still pretty good in the dry (did a 1.23 in qualifying which i think is my best time at OP GP) however they surrendered when the rain started falling.

                    got a great start though!

it was a great event - over 500 cars entered. they had 3 separate groups running regularity alone.

we were put in marque sports which had a little bit of everything - including the world's fastest mg midget and several slick shod supercharged mx5's. to put the midget into perspective - he qualified 2 seconds under the group S lap record.

great comraderie also with everybody offering advice and assistance - although in retrospect maybe i shouldn't have adjusted tiger's suspension for that last race... ;-)

thanks mate - perfect 360! grab first gear and away.

there is a bump in the track just where you turn into that corner. it was unsettling the car a bit in the dry and i underestimated the effect it would have in the wet.

Good show Andy and Ryan. It was entertaining, in a slightly nerve wracking kind of way, to watch you slip'n slide your way around a wet Oran Park yesterday. Did well to keep out of trouble, save for the poor duck...
