    Mt Cootha Classic 2015

    It's finally on again...

Sorry, we couldn’t find that page

Well worth getting involved in - just driving at 6/10ths on this stretch of road is fun (and pretty safe).

Are any of the Qld/Nth NSW members interested in attending as a group? I've sent of an EOI as a competitor, but I recall last time there was a good turn out of car clubs. Maybe as a group we can get a display space (i.e. good parking )? If there's numbers I can ask?

The event is hardly the Goodwood Revival, but those of you that may remember (and miss) Speed on Tweed will enjoy this one... http://cootha-classic.com.au/what-is...ootha-classic/

Anyway, at this stage there's plenty of time. Let me know here if you're interested. I reckon a bunch of early 911s should pull a nice crowd.

Oh, and it's Father's Day... Yeah, they can't say no now!

Used to do that run in the EH 179 Holden when I was teenager. Brings back memories ... Second gear all the way.

September, I guess I will have run in my 'new' 911 motor by then. Not sure I want to drag up the hill though. Will certainly come out and then spend Fathers Day with the family.

My green car won't be ready then either I suspect, so I'll be running the blue one - certainly won't be much more than 7/10ths for me - no cage or harnesses any more! I figure it's a good chance to get a legal rip up the mountain though

Sounds good John. Can I borrow yours then and try 6/10th?

Maybe I should stick to the 997 ...

Count me in for a show up. Obviously subject to work getting in the way. 50/50 chance though.
Been up there in my EH wagon Merv so I feel your pain. Ha ha

              Sounds fun.

A bit of local knowledge always helps Jim. Altho' I seem to recall trying to impress some teen-aged female passengers at the time.

I know it's nerdy, but what's the story with their spelling?

Why call it Cootha Classic when it's on Mt Coot-tha?
