Its been a while since we had a Club Workshop visit on a Saturday morning so the plan is to meet at Kane Hearns new workshop - Zuffenhaus Classics, on Sat 9th July at around 9.30am to witness some dry ice blasting techniques on some cars and engine parts.
Address is: 273 Dundas St Preston which is virtually opposite Paint & Custom and just down the street from AutoArt (another porsche workshop).
Kane has set up a special area within his new workshop with a hoist and the dry ice blasting equipment and will have several cars to work on to demonstrate how the process works. He also has a regular sand blasting cabinet there so members can also see the difference between the processes and the finishes obtained.
Kane has a reasonably large collection of his own cars in the workshop including several G series and a few long hoods as well.
There will be hot coffees plus some Kripsy Kreme doughnuts to nourish members who attend and it should conclude around noon giving plenty of time for demonstrations and discussions about the dry ice blasting process and general Porsche maintenance etc.
If you have followed the thread on Peter Demos's yellow Targa you will have seen the transformation of the cars undersides and hopefully the car might still be there to see it in person.
All members welcome and please indicate if you think you will be there so we have an idea of numbers.
Also if you have your own set of ear muffs, I suggest you bring them along as the ice blasting is extremely noisy.
