Anyone having problems using the "New posts" link

I don't know if anyone else is having any problems, but I use the "new posts" link located under my avatar to access the latest posts.

For example today, I have 7 unread posts. Click on it and it says "sorry no matches, try agin later". Yet if I look on the home page there are definitely ones I aint read ???

I've logged out and logged back in again. It says I've cleared my cookies??? But the problem remains ???? Any helpful boffins please....

      Hi Andy,

I often get a "1 new post" message, but when I click on it there is nothing there. So you're not the only one...there must be others.

Sounds like some sort of glitch.

I'm no boffin, so I have no answers.

        It works

Hey I didn't even know this feature was available - it's great!

Oh yeah, it works on my system, sorry I didn't mean to rub it in with yours not working....

BTW, I'm on a Mac running Firefox Modzilla for browsing.

It's doing it now. Showing there is 1 new post, but I can't find it. I don't think it is a browser issue either, as I've tried chrome and firefox.

Try Ctrl+F5 ( hung, this is the hard reset for iexplorer?)

I'll try that next time it happens. It's fine again at the moment. Thanks Rich.

                      Rich,

That's just forcing IE to refresh the page (i.e. to overcome caching problem).

This could be a problem with the vbulletin and not browser related however google can't find any similar reported bug with vbulletin.

I am going to put this in the 'too hard' basket for now, I am scared of going anywhere near upgrading the forum software
