Website maintenance this Thursday and Friday

The website will be off-air on Thursday 22rd Jan 2015 from 3pm Melbourne time and is expected to be off all Friday.

The forum is moving to a bigger garage and during this time the forum should remain readable but no postings will be allowed.

The outcome of the move will be posted as soon as the tasks are completed. An exact time can't be given for the move and if there is a problem with the time slot, please reply.

TYP901.org is now running out of our new and modern garage, it has more horsepower, benches, tools and more file parking spaces, its located in the Equinix SY2/SY3 data centres in Sydney. Leaving its previous location in California, its now 100% Australian just in time for Australia Day.

The new tools for managing the site have greater flexibility and will make the upcoming forum upgrades to V5 of vBulletin a lot more pleasant.

Apart from the latest update for our V3, the forum is unchanged and everything should work as it did, although it should perform faster with the new horsepower.

If any issues arise please let me know.

          Thanks Richard.

"Biggest Asset" = 1.6 GB when compressed as it turns out.

It was very slow downloading it from the old server, but we got there.

Great work Uwe......and it's good news for our executive committee members that our email accts have also been updated, although Clyde and I may need some guidance to set up with the new system. (we'll be in touch)

Price and size of storage is worth it so we don't have to archive threads or images like other sites do...
