Two quick things to note:
1. When you go to search the "Display results as" is defaulted to topics. Most people want to search actual posts rather than have to read whole threads. In order to do so, select "Display results as" posts
2. Many forums prevent you from searching with too small a word or generic a word. eg tot or and.
This forum will allow you to search such a word but if it gets back too many results you will only get a blank screen as there are checks in the forum system to stop such searches (the forum search function didn't collapse). If this occurs, simply go back to your original search and enter more details and specific terms.
