    Calendar update for NSW

    Hi all

I have finally added a range of dates to the calendar (how many of you look at it or even know where it is??- Erwin can it be more accessible/obvious?)

For everyones benefit though ,here is a list of the TARGET dates I have suggested for regular Sunday quarterly drives (Q-DRIVES henceforth, summer, autumn, winter, spring). It would be great if individuals could put their hands up and take ownership of at least one one - ie route planning, eat/coffee stop, CAMS insurance organising etc. So come on laddies, put your hands up please. I am better at the social side so have put my name against a winter dinner in late July. The dates I have suggested are clear of school hols etc, but can obviously be adjusted closer to the time. I think if they go in the diary early though there is a better chance of this happening smoothly. So get out those PDA's and start punching 'em in OK!

Also there is a list of related race dates on the calendar that Nick Taylor has kindly provided, so we dont clash with them and also as a lot of you go regularly to these events.

The PCNSW Concours is on there too.

Please see my separate post re the possibility of a Nationals long weekend in Thredbo next Autumn.

Typ901 NSW Chapter target Q-drive dates on 25 March, 03 June,
    09 September, 02 December

Saturday 28 July – winter drinks@Tony+Louises, followed by dinner at a local restaurant

A pre-Xmas function wouldnt be bad either, yes?

    Other dates of interest -

    April 17-22 Targa Tasmania

April 27-29 Historics @ Eastern Creek

June 1-3 Historics @ Oran Park Sth

    July 4-8 Suncoast Rally Noosa

July 6-8 Festival of SportsCars Oran Park GP

August 2-8 Boat Show – possible get-together with Vics?

September 14-16 Historics @ Eastern Creek

October 11-21 Sydney Motor Show - Porsche is exhibiting this year.

October 19-21 Festival of SportsCars Wakefield Park

November 04 PCNSW Concours at Clontarf

regards and looking forward to the AVALANCHE of offers!!

well go ahead and plug some target dates in the calendar!! Alternatively we could meet there at the beginning of a run if they open early enough?
incase you are technically challenged, which I am NOT, click on the quicklinks tab at the very top of the page and go to the "add new event" button.

Ah, at least someone picked up on it.... and no sherry involved.

Hint no. 2 - "you got me into this parking lot fella! You get me out !"

Aretha: You want butter or jam on that toast honey?
                      Elwood: No ma'am, dry.
Jake: You got any fried chicken?

                      Jake:
Four fried chickens and a Coke.
                      Elwood
: And some dry white toast please.
Aretha: Y'all want anything to drink with that?
                      Elwood: No ma'am.
                      Jake: A Coke.
Aretha: Be up in a minute.

(She goes to the kitchen, where Matt 'Guitar' Murphy and Lou 'Blue Lou' Marini are busy)
Aretha: We got two honkies out there dressed like Hacedic Diamond merchants.
                      Matt: Say what?
Aretha: They look like they're from the CIA or something.
                      Matt: What they wanna eat?
Aretha: The tall one wants white bread, toast, dry with nothing on it.
                      Matt: Elwood!
Aretha: And the other one wants four whole fried chickens and a Coke.
Matt: And Jake! ****, the Blues Brothers!

                      (He walks to the counter)
                      Matt: Hi Jake.
                      Jake: Matt, how you doing?
Matt: Hi Elwood. How ya doing? How was Joliet?
Jake: Oh it was bad. Thursday night they'd serve a wicked pepper steak.
Matt: Can't be as bad as the cabbagerole at the Terre-Haute Federal Penn.
Elwood: Or that oatmeal at the Cook County slammer.
Matt: Well, they're all pretty bad.
                      Jake:
Matt, me and Elwood, we're putting the band back together. We need you and Blue Lou.
Matt: Oh man, don't talk that way round here. My old lady, she'll kill me.
Elwood: Ma'am, you gotta understand that this is a lot bigger than any domestic problems you might be experiencing.
Aretha: Matt, what the hell is he talking about?
                      Matt: Don't get roused sugar.
Aretha: Don't you 'Don't get roused sugar' me! Now you not going back on the road no more, and you ain't playing no more two bit sleazy dives. You're living with me now, and you're not gonna go sliding around with you old white hoodlum friends.
Matt: But babe, this is Jake and Elwood, the Blues Brothers.
Aretha: The Blues Brothers?! ****, they still owe you money, fool!
Jake: Ma'am, would it make you feel any better if you knew that what we're asking Matt here to do was a holy thing?
                      Elwood:
You see, we're on a mission from God.
                      Aretha:
Don't you blaspheme in here! Don't you blaspheme in here! Now this is my man and my restaurant and you two are gonna just walk right out that door, without ya dry white toast, without ya four fried chickens and without Matt 'Guitar' Murphy!
Matt: Now you listen to me. I love you, but I'm the man and you are the woman. And I'll make the decisions concerning my life.
Aretha: You better think about what you're saying. You better think about the consequences of your actions.
                      Matt: Oh shut up woman!

[song: 'Think', performed by Aretha Franklin]
(Matt 'Guitar' Murphy undoes his apron, he drops it on the floor)
                      Matt: Let's boogie.
(Lou watches them leave the restaurant)
                      Aretha: Well, go ahead dammit!
(Lou runs after the Blues Brother and Matt)
                      Aretha: ****!
