Proposed Sydney Visit Aug 3/4/5th

As per the suggestion on an earlier Calendar, I am planning to be in Sydney for the Syd Boat Show over the weekend of Aug 4 & 5.

I will probably drive up there on Thurs of Friday as I have some work to do as well then drive back Monday.

Is anyone interested to get together with Sydney members on the Sat night (as we have done in the past over this weekend) ??

We previously met at Tony Caros house for drinks then headed down to a lcoal restaurant. We could possibly have a drive on the Sunday if there are enough cars and people.

There is sufficient time to get some cheap flts up to Sydney if you book now.

Come on guys, shout your partner to a weekend away. Girls can go shopping, we can play cars or boats.

Pls give some indication if you are interested or planning to come.

Count me in Phil. It's a great excuse for a weekend away and those Sydney guys are just strange enough to make it seem like another country.

On a serious note last year was fantastic with a get together for dinner Saturday night and then a drive on the Sunday. As you can see by the photos, the Sydney guys turned it on for us. Flights are cheap and it's easy to fly in Friday night & out again Sunday arvo.

Now the decision is to invite the parteners or make it a boys weekend.

Just checked flts from Melb - Syd return. plenty of seats at $125 each way on either Virgin or Qantas. Also check www.wotif.com in a few days and discount hotel offerings will start to show up as they now allow bookings 4 weeks ahead.

Sure was and I have just spoken with my wife, quote "we did that last year for your birthday wish, wouldn't you like to do something with the family"

How do you answer that?, you guys are nice blokes, but hey, trying to convince Maureen that you are close to family is a bit much..... discussion continues,

There is a great new diner at Glebe Point called...wait for it...the Glebe Point Diner, medium priced delicious soulfood. And close to Mr Rudds place too.
