I'm thinking of doing this but am struggling with the price
5K for 3 days of 5x 20min track sessions seems a little excessive to me.

Not to hijack but in a Bathhurst consistent topic,

Is anyone making the journey to the V8s in October?

I'll be there from Friday morning and staying on the mountain for the Friday night and Saturday night at the 'REGENT.... container' that a few friends have got together.

It would be great to see a few 901s therefor a beer and home cooked burger..

i agree. tarmac rally money for some lap sprints.

contact charles at www.fosc.com.au they are planning a bathurst event for easter 08. i've competed in their events in the past and they're good fun/value. kind of a relaxed version of historics (e.g. older cars, but cars don't need 5th category logbooks)

I wasnt supporting this event, just reporting its occurrence. I agree, the fees are crazy for what you appear to get.

I think this has almost been put on for the Ford/Holden/FPV/HSV contigent

I think I'll be supporting the FOSC event next year (Easter). There is also a substantial display of cars that others may want to attend.

The event has the backing of Shannons, Mercedes and Bathurst Council, so it looks well organised.

            That's my 2c worth.

              Phil,

Quite a few of the later Porsches will be attending I think Phil.... one of the organisers is a PCNSW member....

I'm told that actually hiring the circuit (and by definition closing the road) is a very significant expense... there are several zeros after it

Is it too dear ... who knows... whatever floats your boat I suppose. Is 300 minutes on Mt Panorama worth $5K... At the end of the day the compnay running it is a commercial enterprise I guess.

I'm very interested to check out the FOSC event... Nick and Ryan are trying to twist my arm about running regularity there.
