    I bought wife #4 a rocket ship

Top stop her from becoming ex wife #4 I bought my darling an almost new Mazda 3MPS, 2.3 litre turbocharged, LSD, traction control etc etc etc with 190kw and everything that walks and talks except 4 wheel drive. It had done 7k and cost me $10 grand less than new at $33 thousand.

Not sure where else you could get a machine that goes like this does and yet still potters around town like a Hyundi anything when required. Its great!

          Nice Clyde,

I'll see your Mazda and raise you a 6.0litre V8 ss ute. New, sub $37K, 6yr warranty, leather interior, elec seats plus any other option you can think of and 260kw @ 1590kilos. Bought it as a work car and had so much fun in it gave my Range Rover to the wife and made it my daily driver.

To top it all off no FBT, though I do use a quater of a tank of fuel a day...

          Regards

Paul, please, this is a Porsche forum....

we'll have none of that V8 talk here thanks.

Utes are tow cars. lets leave it at that...

            Clyde, stop encouraging them.

Phil, bought it partly due to how much trouble I had squeezing those seats into the back of my other car. Now have plenty of room to haul around parts!

Sad fact is that wifeys car could blow yours off the planet in almost any gear, quicker than GT3 in mid range (100 - 160 in 3/4) as tested by Wheels, and still only use 10 litre per 100km. Paul you mean driving to the Box Hill shops and back what about the rest of the day!

True it won't carry much but she's not into parts anyway!!!!!!!

Apologies Phil I will cease now and forever until tomorrow.

You're right Clyde probably would be faster, mainly due to the fact that any vaguely hot start results in a cloud of blue smoke, and to add insult to injury the thing averages 17.5 litres per 100km, with a healthy amount of freeway driving. At least I don't have to worry about where I park it or how many km's I put on it.

                    Now back to real cars...
