Heard a few things, Tony Caro knows it.

Had a client looking at it, and while is looks okay, there are others that say that it could have some stories. Have not seen it person though as it is in Sydney.

Still it is a sunroof car. Being sold by Autohaus (they are starting up a sales division of their business).

I wouldnt say I know it, but I happen to have seen it briefly and I thought it looked like a clean, complete daily driver with nice options. Have no idea of provenance, but I do know that it has recent extensive body and mechanical work under the watchful eyes of the boys at Autohaus. And that is a very good thing IMO.

What stories have you heard Alex?

Nothing too bad Tony, just another Sydney owner who saw the car and said it was not as good as it could be! No one is ever happy and there is always going to two sides! As I said, I have not seen it personally so I cannot really comment directly... could be a nice driver though.

Justin, agreed, just not suited to what the guy who came to me wanted to do. He wanted to go back to bare metal, change colour etc!

Interesting to see what it sells for.

I saw the silver backdated 2.7 on the back of a towtruck this week...on Parramatta Rd...

It looked good from 50 metres!

Interested by your comment Alex, I was under the impression a sunroof in a classic car of any type wasn't particularly a good thing - i.e. potential unseen rust issues / compromised headroom / extra weight (in just the wrong place) et. al.

Not intending to create angst, just interested in what the market perceives as positives.

                        Cheers

I think a sunroof is a great feature on a car. Yes there are headroom issues, and not the ideal car for a race car due to weight etc.
However like anything, if you are tall like you and I are, sunroof's are a pain the *insert word here*. With my fair skin, I cannot take advantage of a suns rays all the time anyways!
Interesting note about rust issues with sunroofs can be an issue if the drainage holes/tubes have been plugged up or blocked. Generally though, for my mind, a sunroof is a nice thing on a road car!

thats obviously a lightweight sunroof for an RS or and RSR.

maybe we should all pitch in and buy one for Clyde as a present for all his hard work for the Club.
