    Rs #197

Well I know I have been quiet for a while recovering from the failed transaction last December (RS 250) for those who don't remember. I got all my money back eventaully but still lost a little due to exchange rate differences.

My business has been out of control, very, very busy which is good if you own a retail shop and opening a fourth shop (Boost Juice) next Friday.

Thnaks to the guys who are taking up some of the roles I used to have time to do such as Treasurer, Membership manager and Magazine Editor.

I promise the Victorian chapter to organise some more frequent runs next year and Nationally I hope to do some merchndise other than out badge and shirts.

In the meantime my US connections contacte dme last week with an offer too good to refuse.

An all original RS, every panel as it left the factory, with LSD, Glaverbel light glass and only a light external respray (no door jams etc) became available from a fellow R Gruppe member who had decided a 360 ferrari was his new go. It even still has its alloy ductail not broken and alloy licence plate panel, god I hope our number plates hide the holes from the Japanese plates!

I sat by my computer on Wednesday watching the dollar rise after the interest rate rise and thought what the hell you only live once, right?, so I bought US dollars at its peak at around 2pm (93c)

Sure its expensive but I actually think its cheap in Aussie terms.

Should be here not long after Xmas, can't wait I have heard a lot about this car the last 2 years after it surfced from a 15 year stint in a Japanese collection.

            Well done Clyde

I suspected the silence was a cover for something more sinister :p

Rich I think the RS Lightweight models had the 'RS' door trims, the Touring models used the regular ones.

Spot on Cameron and this time Richard it will cost you more than $75 for a 2 hour fang!!!

The silence is simply due to lack of time, Michael Japp caught me flat out at my Chadstone store today he is racing at Sandown over the weekend.

Got to work hard and long to pay for that baby

here's a pic of the engine and you can see the drill holes for the licence plate so hopefully the Aussie plates covers them up ! Thes epics were taken when Rob Wolford owned the car. I was lucky enough to score a ride when visiting in 2005.

Clyde, car looks great! well done.

Looking at the holes it will be bl0ody close! No slim lines should apply. I assume THE RS plates will go back on.

                          Well done again!

Yes I think THE RS will get a run again I can't do RA 291 any more as the cops have all 3 sets of those I had along with too much of my money!!!!

Yes slim lines for the front and STD with frames for the rear might just do the trick. The rear panel is an alloy one so might have to get some work done on it, shall see when i get it.

Sydney member David Withers has kindly supplied the cars history when in Japan so thats a great start to tracking it all down. He got the information on a recent Japanese trip, not for me, but for the previous owner.

                            Small world for sure.

Hope that dollar keeps going down!!!
