What do we know about this car?

    http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=2677723&cur rent_rec=24&used_rec=94&total_rec=63&sort_type=&to tal_rec=63&sort_type=&make_id=48&model_id=356&stat e_id=-1&search_distance=25

It is located in Rye, looks to be a LHD conversion, but it has some S trim and are those sport seats..

C'mon Vic - what is the story

I went down and had a look a while ago. There are a few messages on the old board:

        Basics:
        - LHD converted (quality of conversion is apparently only 80% - and that is according to the owner).
        - I think the wipers were still on the wrong side
        - Gearbox had issues from memory
        - A few scratches on the paint, but nothing looked too serious
        - Numbers apparently match, but I didn't get that far
        - He is keen to sell as he has to pay for an extension on his house
        - He lives in Rye (right next to lots and lots of salty water!), but apparently rinses the car regularly

It was a while ago... and I was rather green when it came to looking at early 911's (and still am!)...

... and I think for me, a LHD is a better bet than a conversion, especially given the variability in quality out there.

Another red Targa has popped up in 'carsales' - 1970T for $38,000.

Described as a previous concourse winner - judges obviously not concerned with originality - or was it a winner back in the 70's?

Looks OK in the photos though - if you like red! (sorry Brett)

No real deal with the small pics Clyde, other than the fact I'm seriously incompetent sometimes, or have any regard to instructions on web sites....

It looked OK thought it may be a buy for an entry person, however proof is in a detailed PPI I guess.
