Sandown Trackday Sunday, 20th July 2008

I'm taking my 911L along for a blast, would be great to see a few TYP901 members down there.

I can't share any personal feedback (first time I've attended) but I have some friends who regularly attend these OpenCircuit Track Events and speak highly of them.

    Cheers
    Tom

    Event Details below:

    Hi All,

Sandown Raceway is confirmed for Sunday, 20th July 2008.

If you wish to attend, please RSVP as soon as possible along with your payment of $300 to the bank details below.

As always, the cost is PER VEHICLE so you can have as many drivers as you wish. We will also have dedicated passenger sessions throughout the day.

All occupants will need a helmet and long sleeve clothing (not an issue in Melbourne in July!!!).

Please note that this event will go ahead regardless of weather (and I suspect some of you are actually praying for rain...).

In addition to past events, we will have instructors available for one-on-one tuition should you choose. They are available in hour-long blocks for $100.

If you know of anyone else that might be interested and won’t cause a problem on-track, please pass this email on.

I look forward to seeing you all at the track...

    Thanks again,

      Sandown "Thumbs Up"

Thanks for heading down Phil, great to catch up.

My feed back from the day is all positive, well run, heaps of track time and a good mix of cars (and drivers). After a damp start the track dried out and I got to enjoy my first track day with the '68L. I was simply stunned by it's on track performance - given it's almost standard set-up.

A few of the guys from PCV were there as well, most people took advantage of the separate passenger allotted time to show off there cars and skills and share some faster lines with a few rusty drivers like moi...!

Highly recommend this event for anyone looking for a casual track day.

Attached are a few pics - sorry for the lack of action shots!
