Pitted chrome restoration

Hi all,
My horn grills are badly pitted, well beyond Autosol love. Has anyone restored chrome like this (replating?) or should I let them go?

Most chroming places won't touch them as it will return. What year is your car please?

I'll check if Eric Linden has any of his great 69 Chrome grilles left better than anything Porsche made. I just bought some of his 68 ones.
