    Seat Belt Restoration in Oz?

Bit of help without going to USA?
I have a reasonable set of original tagged 1968 3 point seat belts. But they are reasonable with re chroming required and hence webbing?
Anybody know anyone who does this in OZ?

Seatbelt Solutions in WA do lovely work, and Australian certified when you get them back. Have done a couple of sets for me and happy each time.

yes maybe... but my car, like all other Australian delivered cars at the time, had to have "ADR compliant" seat belts installed - ie non Australian made seat belts did not comply with ADR's (as a measure of non tariff protection for the so called Australian car industry).

Therefore I have Australian made Rainsford belts fitted to my car and unfortunately Rainsford went out of business in the 1980s (bought by Britax in the UK) but no old stock Rainsford belts exist even in Britax's old stock warehouse ( I had Dave (stretch) look for me in that warehouse)

I understand that a strict reading of current roadworthy / ADR rules still means that you have to have Australian made belts complying with the proper ADR and technically Repsa and other belts used in ROW are not compliant - Still protecting an industry that died decades ago

So German made tags or reproductions of them are not appropriate for my car
