    Passing of Ian Henderson

It is with sadness that I report on the passing of Ian Henderson, one of the most influential people in our early Porsche community who owned and restored
many many great P cars in his time.

We pass our condolonces to his family and friends.

I'll value the many chats we had about significant cars, the cars he found, restored, owned, and (most importantly) enthusiastically used.

Sad news - Ian was a long term member of this club

Last time I saw Ian. What a machine.

when I first met in person I said I would like to do some track time, he replied "never too late". He started at 68 years old, well that's what he said to me.

Too busy fixing knees and hips and lecturing overseas before that

                  Oh no, Very sad.
thoughts with him, his family and all who knew him.
I have vivid memories of watching him get in to drive his 911R at Sandown historics many years ago. I was thinking how cool this older guy squeezing so much out of life.
He also consulted with my mother on her long term shoulder issues.
The effort (and money) he put into his many cars is hopefully a small legacy he leaves.
                  best to all.
