Seat Foam Help 68 911 but build 67

Trying to be sure that i am buying the right seat foam for the back rest.
So up to the interior of the resto of 68S, the seats though are the 65 to 67 seat with rolled headrest.
I have gone to all the usual culprits, stoddards, sierra madre design 911 and ebay.
Everyone is quoting the seat as 1965 to 73, but everyone seems to quote the backrest as 69 to 73.
I suspect its the same except the headrest insets?
Anyone been down this path for seat foam, help would be much appreciated as the mistake is a bit eye watering on price.

Yes I have - a full restoration of both sections of both seats.

      No foam for me.

I wanted a restored seat as close as possible to original in design, matrial and shape.

For the seat cushion and the backrest - I purchased seat cushions and backrest from KHM in Germany.

      BJC-

They make them in the original coconut fibre matrial to exactly the correct shape and profile for the comfort seats on swb 911.

I also cleaned and painted the frame, replaced the rubber back supports and new hession.

I can send you a few photos of process if you are doing it yourself.

      all the best

Or speak / email John Pisani at Eurostitch in Sydney.

He has restored swb seats for various owners in Sydney, and often has the materials at hand. He is located in Carlton NSW - near the airport.

Looking forward to seeing your 68, as it progresses.

        Thanks

          Awesome guys

Was thinking of coconut fibre over foam, but no idea where to go trust! And mistakes are costly.

Thanks JR slowly slowly but close, by end of year i hope.

          Thanks again

            Another little tip:
If you decide to go the original route (coconut fibre) via KHM in Germany note that they make 2 versions of the seat cushion for your 67; a "normal" coconut fibre seat cushion and one with an extra layer of coconut fibre to provide extra support, if your springs are original and sagging.
