as we have done for the past several years, TYP901 will have a display of cars to complement the large display of 356 Porsches at their Annual Parade day on Sunday 30th November at Como Park, Melbourne
As was required last year, we MUST have a list of members, their cars and rego numbers PRIOR to the day so I can hand over a list to their organiser on Sunday morning.
Cars on the list will be admitted free of charge to the park area.
Cars NOT on the list will be charged approx $25 per car. This is a requirement set down by the 356 Register Committee to assist in paying overheads for the venue hire etc.
The TYP901 Register will pay the fee for the cars on the list ONLY.
Last year we had some real problems with members and non-members just arriving on the day, parking their cars and leaving. This was mainly due to the 356 guys not having an attendant at the park entry. They wanted us to pay for every 901 parked on the grass that day of which there were about 20 + cars at various times in the day. We had 12 cars on the list and paid for 12 cars.
Here is your chance to advise you will attend and give me your drivers name and rego number and car description (colour and model).
Please dont come whining to me on the day and ask to be re-imbursed for the $25 they charge you to park if you forget to give me your details.
The 356 Register very graciously allows us to participate in this event which is rightly their Annual showcase event. Its only fair we assist with paying some of the expenses.
I look forward to seeing many members there. Bring along a picnic lunch and make a day of it.
