    Unoriginal toolkit and jack question

    What would you guys do?

I have no jack, and no toolkit for my car.

Would it be best to get a cheap toolkit and jack from a later model 911?

Or would it be better to buy a few essentials separately?

I am not striving for originality here. Just something on the cheap which will hopefully be rarely used.

get a good kit from Repco, Supercheap etc.

You can get a really good kit that has some decent tools in it!

The only thing that I think that is a cracking tool from the original kit is the spark plug tool. That is awesome! You need an allen key as well but you can save ages on changing plugs by using it!

The Porsche jack is actually one of the weakest links in an otherwise nice package. The jacks are notorious for falling and for causing damage to the sill and jack socket.

I use a good quality bottle jack (with a nice piece of timber) and extendable tyre lever kept in the empty battery box (converted to a single Oddysey some time ago).
