    Changes to Club Permit Scheme

members pls visit: http://www.aomc.asn.au/logbook.htm for a good explanation of what is being proposed by Vicroads.

essentially they are suggesting a max 90 day usage of the car in one calendar year which is determined by entries into a Log Book. Each day you drive the car, you use up one page. Police can check the log book is filled in (before you drive) and once you hit 90 days - park it for the rest of the year.

Sounds like a good deal as 90 days if use is a lot for most CH registered cars.

That's almost every weekend of the year.

Doesn't sound that bad except if the fees go up a lot.

    Thank you Phil,

I'll watch this with interest - as the driver of two cars on Vintage Plates in NSW....

Our system was overhauled a little while ago - new plates, but everything else left the same.

Apparently the specifically coloured club plates (unique to each club) confused the cameras. There were 100's of 001's for instance, but in subtly different colours.

We need that here - for full registration plates

did anyone see the news item on the THOUSANDS of people being caught speeding on the Geelong Rd each day now they have turned on the new cameras    -5587 people in ONE DAY

At that rate they can make the rego fees zero and pick up money this way
