    RS Carpet Install

Got stuck into the install with a mate yersterday....

I like it! Always thought the interior looked scruffy and this tidies it up nicely And the kit weighs under 2 kgs so no great penalty there

Glove box delete should cover the 2 kg.

                  Thanks guys

Andy I got the kit from Appbiz in the US. I think I bought it off Ebay for about $260 US.

The roll cage make the install a challenge in a few places!

Cam, did they have a RHD set of carpets or did you have to modify them ? Hence, maybe the rubber mats ??

Phil, I think they're doing a RHD version now.

                          nice work cam.

ps. since the glove box is gone, you may as well shed the knee pads as well. think of the added leg room!

I ordered the RHD set, just liked the look of the rubber mats as per the period race cars I think I'll pull the mats come race time as they are surprisingly heavy!

Ryan I actually have just put the LHS knee pad back in! I just got sick of looking at a scappy interior and wanted to tidy it all up.

I'll post a before photo to show what it looked like.

I also got rid of the black race tape over the radio plate, made up a new plate with some black vinyl and mounted the new Monit Rally computer, and also changed the battery cut off to a T handle for purely asthetic reasons

Appbiz (Phil) are doing RHD drive sets. Though you need to be quite specific. Occasionally LHD sets are sent out. It also appears they only bind the RS lightweight sets. The perlon and others offered are machine stitched.

Looks great Cameron.. putting a set (STD) in my T and the 912.
