      I've just stopped laughing...!!!

Is that a legal conversion?? At least you could convert it back to original without too many problems!!

I think I would be a little nervous driving it though.

Where were the pics from, any more info???

My brother has done that sort of conversion for several cars for movie sets. he supplies cars for TV and movies. Sometimes they use a chain drive. just so long as you cannot see the gear and only the steering wheel and the driver, it works.

have also seen some large US motorhomes converted like that using a duplex chain drive under the floor for the steering. gas pedal and brakes are usually a little easier than the complex arrangement in these pics, but it looks like its reversible as the car is probably a loaner for a movie.

Pity if you left anything important in the glovebox! I guess it would be the perfect place to leave some spare change, as it would take someone half an hour to get in there to steal it!

                Erwin,

all the US Postal vans are RHD so the posties can drive right up to a mail box and insert mail into them. Currently the use a custom built vehicle and maybe Jeep was after the contract and this was an evaluation vehicle.

I heard stories of some 356's and early 911's having the steering converted by running a chain from the steering box to the relocated steering column...

All the interior stuff and pedal box was moved though.

This was done in the late 1960's
