For Sale Aussie delivery 1973 2.4S Coupe $50,000

Now that I have your attention here is the chance for someone to own the "Holy Grail" of a 1973 2.4S Aust delivery, sunroof coupe with electric windows with few owners from new, all numbers matching.

I haven't seen this car for some time but it is sure to be in great shape still.

No the price isn't $50,000 just thought I would do that to get you to open the post.

More like twice that money and it will sell real quick I think.

Makes you realise that these cars have escalated so much in price we all have very valuable assets now.

You won't find this in Saturdaya age or Sydney Morning Herald or Car Point etc this is a word of mouth sale just like the 2.4E that sold for great money this week (very high 70's I believe) without going near a paper.

Anyone really interested can contact me direct.

Just goes to reinforce many of the recent comments in posts on this board.

Prices for good cars are only going north.

Its making it really tough for new guys to get into the market. Kinda like getting posted to Sydney by your company and selling your house in Sunshine and trying buy something in Bondi.

Yes, but by that analogy, Phil, people should be thinking about buying a home in Redfern as the cheaper, affordable, alternative to Bondi. I mean, it is part of Sydney isn't it

            Tony,

You know the owner well he's on the list of previous owners of your blue machine and not far from you although has spent last 6 months overseas.

I heard from him again later this evening.

I think its sold allrerady!!!!!! in less than 48 hours no less.

I think the car was too cheap. I would have asked for $120,000 for a car as original as this one was and still is. No restorations here as you probably know.

              Justin,

Some parts of Redfern are way more expensive than Bondi, trust me I know....

If indeed Clydes info is correct and the car is sold for the numbers he has mentioned to me, we are now seeing the sort of price hike in early 911's that the US has been experiencing recently.

Stew, I dont know how many members will be actually able to afford to use an early car as a daily driver given their value. Insurance will be killing you at the very least.

It might make a nice addition to my collection of 901s (currently numbering 2), but I doubt it would do much for my collection of wives (currently numbering 1)

Well Tony you know what he is like he just thought I might know someone who would be interested which I certainly would if it wasn't for the little matter of around $100,000.

I remember the car to be very very original and I doubt DC has done anything to ruin that.

Maybe sell the E and have 2 x S, now theres an idea.

An E ,same year but not as original, perhaps a more desired colour has sold this week for high 70's I believe. Oh you know the owner there also IH.

Is there anyone selling cars you don't know?
